About the Artist

Terre et Eau, 54" x 34" acrylic on canvas

"My work is about the sacred world between human beings and nature.  From that spiritual dimension, using acrylic on canvas, I am reaching the place where we find our every day life ritual, woven between us and Mother Nature herself."

Nana is a French painter living and working in New York.  In this website, you will find samples of her work.  She likes to use a wide variety of medium, creating new pictorial pieces that impact the viewer on several physical, mythological and emotional levels.  In her work she reaches the sacred world between human beings and nature and from that spiritual dimension she explores the boundaries of imagination.

Nana's art is a vigorous affirmation of her own feeling of life and the exploration of the worlds in her and around her and how they relate to each other, inclining toward a monumental style.

Nana was born in France.  Emigrated to the United States in 1981.   She lives and works in Brooklyn, New York.
